Calumet Golf Club

Experience Calumet Golf Club

The Calumet Golf Club opened in 1925.  It is a 9 hole course that measures 3359 yards from the longest tee box and has a slope rating of 97 and a 32.5 USGA rating. The clubhouse has a pro shop and restaurant to appeal to your golfing needs and creature comforts. In addition, there is a driving range and a practice green to practice before you head out onto the range. The course does have two sets of tee boxes per hole so that when you “make the turn,” you can tee off in a different location.  For example, holes 1 and 10 are the same but have different tee boxes.

Course Review for Calumet Golf Club

A very fun course with such a range of different holes. Even though it is a 9 hole course, I appreciate the different tee boxes per hole, which changes up the tee shot.
The opening hole is a beautiful par 4 down a pristine fairway. You should be able to make par here with a ball on the fairway even though the green has some slope to it.
The second hole is one of my favorite par 5s in Copper County. It is endless! Tee off over a gully with woods on the right, and the fairway is all uphill. A well-placed tree in the middle of the fairway guards your second shot to an in which the fairway is funneled by the woods to a green with two levels. The uphill climb of this hole makes it feel way longer than it is.
The third hole is a fair distance par 4, but you do have to tee off over a pond, and there are woods on the right.
The fourth hole is another par 5 up a long hill. It seems endless again, and the green is very sloped right back at the fairway.
The fifth hole goes down the hill; you just went up. However, a good drive goes a long way. The green is guarded by a pond, but the green is nice and big.
The sixth hole is a par 3 that goes over a pond and is guarded by sand traps. Very tricky, and the green has slopes all over the place.
The seventh hole is beautiful! Beautiful woods on the right off the tee but safe on the left. The fairway doglegs to the right, and a pond protects a green that sits on a hillside.
The eighth hole is a super fun par 3 but sand guards the front and left with a green that runs right back at the tee box.
The ninth is a long par 4. A good drive off the tee is a must to get par.
