South Entry Lighthouse
Coming out of South Entry Canal we pass upon the South Entry Harbor. A safe haven for fishing boats and a home for sailors. Tiny houses spot the south side of the canal as Lake Superior looms in the distance. It is the first view of the long rock and concrete breaker that connects White City Park to the South Entry Lighthouse. The boat comes right alongside the lighthouse as we spin 180 degrees around it leaving the safety of the portage to feel the might of Lake Superior beneath us. Off in the distance are gorgeous Red Rock Cliffs, the Huron Mountain Range, Point Abby, and the Huron Islands.

Boarding the Keweenaw Star and greeted by the Portage Lift Bridge. Great way to start the trip!
