There is rustic parking for the falls off the shoulder of the road. Ten Food falls are easily accessible from the parking lot as they are only a few yards away. However, there is only a narrow windy path, and it is not wheelchair accessible. This is an enjoyable destination with a swimming pool under the falls. Large boulders and rocks make the river swift and bubbly as it drops off the 10-foot edge. Swimming in the pool and dunking yourself under the waterfall is a favorite of locals. You can also fish on either the upper or lower sides of the falls.
My wife often would take a ride to 10 Foot Falls when our three boys were small and spend hours swimming during the hot months of July and August. The boys loved to explore the surrounding woods and the hills lining Eagle River. They would often talk about just going to 10 Foot for the day to swim and fish.
After swimming at 10 Foot Falls, the Phoenix Store, just minutes away, provides a soft drink or ice cream for the trip home.
