Ewen saw a new business as well, the Panther Den Daycare Center which was built on M-28 near the Ewen-Trout Creek School Campus. Casey Fors, owner/operator, applied for and was granted a loan of $80,000 from the EDC Revolving Loan fund towards completion of the $261,000 project. The Panther Den is up and running and the complex also houses a beauty salon and Dr. Kurt Schott, optometrist, has his offices located in the new building as well. Another success for the Revolving Loan Fund, one of the most active such programs in Michigan.
