The L'Anse Township Park and Campground, located just several miles out of downtown L'Anse on the Skanee Road, includes 30 campsites, each of which has a beautiful view of Lake Superior's Keweenaw Bay. Each campsite has an electrical hookup. All the campsites are located amid large pine trees which are scattered throughout the park.
The costs for the different campsites are as follows
In addition to the excellent campsites that abound in the park, the Township Park also provides a pavilion for rent and for general use. The sign on the pavilion lets the public know that unless you are camping at one of the campsites, you can only stay in the park from 6 am to 10 pm. Shower facilities are also provided for campers.
The Campgrounds are opened to the public beginning May 15th and close September 30th. For further information on camping, contact 906-524-6985. At the entrance to the campgrounds is the dump station for RVs.
The Township Park also provides a child's playground with a variety of equipment. Access to Lake Superior is unavailable at the Park and campers will need to travel for immediate access. What makes this Park remarkable however is the continuous views of Keweenaw Bay.
